Today's Guest: Meredith

Hi everyone!  I'm Meredith from Create That Outfit.  I'm so excited to be a guest blogger for Cami while she is away on vacation.  :) In honor of Cami's theme "Goodbye To Summer" I'm wearing an outfit full of bright colors!  I absolutely love to wear bright colors on a regular basis but especially in the summer.  This past season, colors were a huge trend, from color blocking to blinding neons.  I have no doubt that will continue into the fall.  Don't be afraid to try unexpected color combinations as you transition into the fall.  You don't have to put away your bright colors for the cooler weather.  Combining your bright colors with the deeper hues of fall can help you create outfits you've never even thought of before, and it's a great way to transition into the new season, when it's not quite cold enough to wear your sweaters and coats.

I'm so glad Cami asked me to be a guest blogger, and I hope you'll stop my blog Create That Outfit and say hello!

Today's Guest: Maria

I am leaving today guys!! Do not worry... I leave you in GREAT hands!! I have some lovely ladies doing a great job, if I do say so myself! I am saying goodbye to summer and my lovelies are helping me do so... Enjoy!

Meet Maria....

Hi everyone!  My name is Maria and I blog over at Dainty and Decadent.  I'm thrilled to be filling in for Cami while she is away!  As most people, I am eagerly anticipating the fall and most importantly, fall fashion.  I live in Florida so it doesn't start to feel like "fall" into late October but that hasn't stopped me from pulling out my scarves and boots out of hibernation.  Until then, I'm trying to get the most out of my summer wardrobe.  I picked up this dress earlier this summer and have worn it a ton!  Although I want to transition most of my summer clothes (neon and mint) into fall, I haven't figured out yet if I can transition this dress yet.  If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I'm all ears!  Thank you all for having me and I hope you stop by Dainty and Decadent and say hi :-)

Dress: H&M  /  Sweater: Kohls  /  Shoes: Sam Edelman 'Trina'  /  Handbag: Coach 'Kristin'  /  Belt: TJ Maxx  /  Sunglasses: Dior  /  Jewelry: Target, J Crew, David Yurman, Ebay

I will be back soon... but not too soon! Have a great Labor Day weekend.  Much love

It's Vacation time :)

I cannot even begin to tell you how badly I need to disconnect for a few days.  It seems that life has been extremely hard lately, and I want nothing more than to get away for bit.  Today's post is to do the impossible... and that is to fit 6 days worth of clothing into a carry on bag.  Hahahahah.... wait.... still laughing... ahahahaha.... I am too cheap to check in luggage to here is what I have so far... almost done laughing....

Navy shorts, yellow striped top, brown belt, brown shoes... still working on accessories.

Believe it or not, I am trying to to pack for the same pair of shoes to work for every outfit.  They are my ugly comfy shoes  :)

White pants, Navy top, Olive Cardigan, same ugly shoes.

Olive shorts, Flower top, Navy cardigan, Orange heels,  ok ok, I have to change up the shoes a little... don't judge me!!

Khaki, stripe shirt, Jean jacket, back to the old ugly shoes.... See? I am good girl!

White shorts, navy stripe shirt, yellow cardigan, and my trusty necklace.  Nice causal day out.

And now, a couple of going out and breaking some rules kind of outfit! I wasn't sure about this one, but it's growing on me.
Sequin skirt, white collar shirt, black blazer, and royal blue heels... he he he... more shoes,

More on breaking rules and dressing outside of the everyday life.  LBD and favorite heels ever! Adding a sash to keep it classy and warm just in case it's a cool night in Utah.

I KNOW that you didn't think I was going on vacation without my dots!! :)

So, this doesn't include PJ's, workout clothes, bathing suit, accessories, etc.  I don't know how I am going to make it fit, but I promise you... IT WILL FIT!! My purse doubles as another carry on (technically) so let cross our fingers and see.

Oh and P.S. I have some fabulous bloggers lined up while I am away so be sure to check them out!

Tell me what you think? How do you pack? Am I missing anything that I can't live without?

I need a doctor....

I am completely obsessed with dots and I am starting to believe that I have no cure for this illness!! I tell myself that I will "never again" buy anything with dots on it again!  BUT there you have it... another dress.  Does it matter that this dress cost me $5.69?? Does that make the addiction any better? Probably not.  In all honestly, I thought this dress might be a slight transition into Fall.  Yea, see? There is my excuse... I am bringing dots into the next season!! Ha!!

Shoes: Bandolino, Bag: Kenneth Cole, Dress: Thrifted, Cardigan: Target, Hat: Charming Charlie (last season)

Hope everyone is having a nice week.  It appears that the rain has cleared after the storm we had on this crappy Monday.  I can't wait until Thursday... going on vacation!!

See you tomorrow!!!

My Closet... YIKES!!

This weekend was spent doing a lot of organizing and back to school chores! Well, that includes my own closet.  This closet of mine is not a dream... I wish is it was filled with chandeliers and mirrors and perfect lighting and hot pink accents with everything perfectly in it's place.  HOWEVER, I cannot complain because I have a rather large closet and I am able to keep my things it somewhat of a fashionable( messy) order.

Here is the look from right outside... it kinda turns to the left,

I keep my tops together, usually color coded.  I also keep all my cardigans, blazers and cover ups together.  Same.... color coded.

I bought the shelves for the shoes at Wal-mart for about $11.00 each.  My husband raised the height of the clothes so that there would be enough room for the shelving underneath.

This tiny little corner is for my sweet husband to hang his 3 items.. lol.. Those are half his because the other half are my skirts...

I made this little contraption to hold my stud earnings. It is just a piece of scrapbooking paper and a hanger.  It makes it so that I can actually see what I have!

These are my flowers.  I like to place these on jackets and sweaters.

I bought these racks from a store that was going out of business for about $10.00.  My husband bolted them to the wall for me and I keep everything I own on them!

And finally.... my jeans and pants.  I keep these together too!

That's it! How do you keep your clothes?  Is your closet big or small?
I would love to know.  Soon I will have my dream closet... when I win the lottery...

It's Monday guys... Lets do this ONE MORE TIME!!
Hope everyone has a fantastic week!
